Brad Keselowski and Team made a winning call on the last lap yellow and change all 4 tires. This gave Brad the edge he needed to overtake polesitter Kurt Busch on the final overtime lap (209), and pull away at the finish line for the win.
Crew chief, Paul Wolfe, called in Brad at the yellow who did not know how this would turn out; good or bad. He had been looking at a finish of six or seventh.
Kurt Busch kissed the wall at the final corner giving Kevin Harvick second place and moved him back to third.
After taking on 4 tires, Brad's No. 2 Fusion moved into seventh place and then Kyle Larson lost his bumper cover. At the 7th restart the fresh tires allowed Brad a hard run into second behind Kurt Busch on the green-white-checkered restart on Lap 208. Bush over drove the no. 41 car on the older tires trying to keep Brad behind him and brushed the wall moving back 2 places.
Bush was fast for all the race led a race-high 65 laps but the yellows in the end over took him in the final laps.
Denny Hamlin led 56 laps but finished 28th after incurring a penalty for an uncontrolled tire on pit road.
The Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, a modern super speedway, just 40 miles outside of Los Angeles, is home for two NASCAR events annually and many other racing events.
The 2-mile oval with low-banked corners and a seating capacity of nearly 92,000 and the warm California Sun make this a top destination for any car fan.
