This is part of a series of test drives which were short, concentrated parking lot events designed to create performance impressions. The event was run in the rain which allowed full testing of traction control and ABS systems.
The SS marks the supreme Camaro, with performance credentials compared to many supercars.

The 6.2 Lt engined, rear drive car moves of the line and down the track with a full V8 wind-up. In a very short order the rate of acceleration was challenging my senses. No wet track wheel spin, no sideways drama, just straight line building of speed. The turn-in was easy and precise with no hesitation coming out of the tight turn under full throttle. This is a streetable race car. The "New" Camaro is not any way like the Camaro of the past. This cars feels light and quick. The Camaro SS is truly a Grand Turismo car. This "Car Rocks".
