TECHNICAL DATA
The Jensen Interceptor was designed by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan at the behest of Jensen, a move that literally split the management of Jensen in two and caused the Jensen brothers to retire rather than be party to a car with not-British styling. Vignale built the first ones, but they came in house from then on. The Interceptor was the most successful large Jensen by a substantial margin, with over 6600 of all variants built between 1967 and 1976. They came in Mk I, II, and III form and as saloons (fastback coupe), convertibles, and Coupes (notchback based on the convertible). There was also an SP model with a 6-pack 440 under the hood and the incredible FF, a slightly longer car with full time four wheel drive and anti-lock brakes, introduced in 1966.
