BMW Isettas.
For April 1955, BMW had redesigned and re-engineered much of the original Rivolta, Italian Isetta. The powerplant was a BMW one-cylinder, four-stroke, 247 cc motorcycle engine which generated 10 kW (13 hp). In May 1962, after launching the BMW 700, BMW ceased production of Isettas.

BMW Reveals Key Additions to the 2013 M Series:

Following on the heels of the M135i, which is due for release in September, BMW has announced some additions to its first premium hatchback series.

Buyers will be able to select from a range of engine options for the three-door 1 Series, including 2.0-litre turbocharged diesels, with a variety of power outputs and CO2 emissions starting from a low 99g/km.

Although the M125i is the division's first petrol offering powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre engine, the additional diesel models make up the three-door versions of the five-door M series cars already on sale.

Trims include the Sport Line and Urban Line trim, with optional extras that form part of the M Sport styling package. Budget conscious buyers can consider the 114i ES option, which is equipped with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and emits just 129g/km of CO2.

A highlight of the range is the sporty M125i that does 0 to 62mph in 6.4 seconds, and is set to rival Volkswagen giants like the Golf GTI.

The M135i and 120d will also be equipped with the xDrive system that's already in the larger X5 and X6s; however, it's the first time the M Series has benefitted from BMW's four-wheel-drive system.
