In 1935 the Rootes Group took over the British Clément-Talbot company or Talbot cars. The French side of the Talbot company was reorganised by Anthony Lago and the French cars bore the Talbot-Lago name. The Talbot-Lago brand was bought by Simca in 1958 and the name was disconinued in 1960.
