Pg 1

Well Gang,
Carolyn and I went to the Chrysler Performance West Fall Fling o8 at Woodley Park with the '50 Plymouth coupe and had a great time - We even got a ribbon for having an exceptional something or other - We had the only 1950 - 52 Plym and there were very few older cars, a 47 Plym 2-door sedan, a 50 Dodge Coronet 4-door, stock looking dark green outside and a 413 wedge with a Paxton blower-727 Torqueflite under the hood -

Here are some shots of what was there that was not the standard muscle car fare......

Pg 1 - 65 Dart altered wheelbase Funny Car - 1949 Willys Jeepster (yep - now part of Chrysler) in non-original red with a non-original small block Ford mill - Dodge A100 camper restored - and yes - this is the Chrysler K Car Club - YIKES!!! They way outnumbered the PT Cruiser Club....

Pg 2 - One of my favourites - a 1960 Dodge pickup restored with a 230 cube flathead - I thought the flatheads were gone after 1959 but according to the owner, were an available option on trucks and forklifts until 1971!! - We followed the two tone blue 39 Plym coupe into the park and the red 41 Dodge pickup looked just like new! (Carolyn's Favourite)

Pg 3 - 1934 Dodge milk truck - restored but remade into a pickup - This metallic blue colour was very popular all over the field but kind of blows the vintage appeal (to me). - This dark green 1953 Dodge Hardtop looked pretty stock except for the wheels AND the full-sized Chrysler Hemi with 3 carbs!!! - This 1927 Fageo truck (actually some body parts) with Dodge mechanicals and flatbed back - A 1956 dodge pickup - nice street condition.

This is the stuff that appeals to me - There were over 200 more cars with lots of muscle - my favourites being the rare 1962 Plymouths and Dodges - all very rear and VERY Virgil Exner!
A fun day!!
Best,
Rick
