The July 23, 2011 Mogulaire Concours d'Elegance at Wente Vineyards, Livermore, California, was hosts to the two marques of Ferrari and Mercedes Benz.

The Inaugural Mogulaire Concours d'Elegance is as they say is "in the books". Wente Vineyards of Livermore, California, became the host site for the shiny and famous automotive works of art ranging from an MG Midget to the stately Rolls Royce Corniche II.

The two most interesting things which this writer found was the overall pace of the show. The displays on the field were well spaced and the car owners were very ready to explain and show-off their well presented works of art.

The second interesting discovery was this show seemed to mostly attract cars which were driven and not just the usual 'museum pieces'. This is not to say that there was a lack of quality on the field, as the cars were very well presented and many were of the highest quality which could be presented in a 'Preserved Class'. The winners of the classes were both the "rare" models and the not so rare model of the manufactures which we all know and love.

The infamous Tri-Valley heat retreated to a around 89 degrees F' and a cooling breeze moved through the cars and vines. As this event was having its first go at everything, there was the usual questions as to what to expect from the new event planners and location, but overall everything worked from start to finish.

A total of five high-profile preview events will be held around the bay area to build awareness and interest in the main concours event on July 23, 2011.
